Chic Repeat

I'm traveling back to New York today but have lost my wi-fi connection.  If AT&T ever tries to talk you into buying MiFi, I definitely don't recommend it.  Luckily, I had uploaded some photos of Calvin Klein fashion designer Francisco Costa's New York apartment.  Even though I posted some a few years ago, I thought it was worth another look especially since I found a few new views.  The apartment is so timeless that I have a feeling that it will be a favorite for years to come.  I am also finally moving into my new apartment on Friday and might have to take a few design inspirations from this place as well.  Just hope I get my connection back soon so I can post photos.  Later skaters!

Shala's Chic Style

Every time I see a photo of Shala Monroque, I wish she would come over and restyle all my outfits.  She always looks so chic yet never overdone.  She's also the only woman I've ever seen who actually looks good in a turban.  I credit her amazing color sense and interesting ensembles to her love of art.  She even dates gallery owner Larry Gagosian.  I also heard she lives on the Upper East Side so that should make coming over very convenient!

In Memoriam: Cy Twombly

Artist Edwin Parker "Cy" Twombly passed away Tuesday at the age of 83 in Rome.  I feel like people either loved or hated his work.  While some people saw beauty in his compositions, other saw childish scribbles.  I personally loved his work and meeting him in Rome was on high my bucket list for life experiences. As a tribute, I'm reposting photos from his studio taken in the 1960's.  He lived his life to the beat of his own drum and did what he loved everyday.  We should all be so lucky.
