Domino Sneak Peek

It's not the best photo but big thanks to Curbed for alerting me that Domino Quick Fixes is already hitting newsstands before the April 17th launch date. I for one will be running to my favorite magazine stands for it today.  I can't wait to read it!

Domino Special Edition

Just in case you haven't already heard the news, Condé Nast announced today that they will publish a domino magazine special edition called "domino Quick Fixes" on April 17th.  Considering that my birthday is April 18th, this will be the best birthday present ever! According to the press release that every blogger in the land received today, it will be filled with domino's "best home decorating stories, focusing on easy, often inexpensive changes that make a big difference."  Can't wait!

Perfectly Imperfect

The Domino Book of Decorating continues to top the list of best selling home decorating books and I have no doubt that former editor in chief Deborah Needleman's new book will also be a big hit.  The Perfectly Imperfect Home: How to Decorate and Live Well is billed as "the must-have guide describing 80 items that are all one needs for a livable, comfortable, and undeniably stylish home."  It's too bad that we have to wait to buy the book illustrated by Virginia Johnson until November 1st.  Guess I'll have to make due with my back of issues of Domino magazine in the meantime.

All About Eva

We've seen the closet of Vivre founder Eva Jeanbart-Lorenzotti in Domino magazine and all over the internet but not many photos of the rest of the apartment.  I recently came across a few on the blog of the Vintage and Modern blog that had me searching for more.  I'm surprised that one of the American shelter magazines haven't shot it yet.  It would be fun to see more of it besides the enviable closet.

UPDATE: I was asked to remove some photos from another magazine which is why this post is now smaller.

Bastian of Chic

I don't attend any men's fashion shows but if there was one I did decide to attend, it would be Michael Bastian.  I love his modern take on preppy male clothing.  His chic style also extends to his West Village apartment.  You might remember it from the September 2008 issue of Domino magazine.  It still looks just as good more than two years later and he is often still photographed at home.  Most recently for Esquire magazine who has profiled the debonair designer for their March 2011 issue.  There is even a blog dedicated to the designer entitled My Affair with Michael Bastian.  It's one thing to write a blog.  It's quite another to have someone write one dedicated to you.  Wonder if the author attends the fashion show.
