Jason Wu for Canvas Collaboration

When I first heard about the collaboration between fashion designer Jason Wu and the home brand Canvas, I was a little surprised.  Jason Wu seems so glamorous and uptown while Canvas is a more rustic British brand.  But the results I saw on Vogue.com this morning are beyond beautiful.  I love the nod to Jacques Adnet with the brass accents and thin legs and the lace pillow needs to be in every fashionable girl's home.  I personally still need some side tables for my apartment so those might be what I purchase from this collection. The prices don't seem to be too crazy either. It's clear that even though it didn't seem to make sense at first, Jason Wu and Canvas are a perfect pairing.

Marni at H&M

I think it was the married straight male magazine editor Glenn O'Brien who once told a woman who mentioned loving Marni that she was lucky she was married. It's not exactly considered sexy. Although, I think it does look good on those Italian women with tan little arms and legs like its creator Consuelo Castiglioni. I usually stick to the jewelry and belts myself but the new Marni at H&M collection debuting March 8th has me considering buying a few clothing pieces too.

They also tapped the uber chic director Sofia Coppola to direct a film for the campaign.  It was shot in Morocco at the Marrakech home of Diana's Vreeland's son Frederick Vreeland and stars actress Imogen Poots.  It's just as dreamy as you would expect and can be viewed here.  There is also a behind the scenes video with Sofia here. I've intertwined a few shots from the film, look book and recent party in Los Angeles to give you an idea of what to expect.  That gold and lavender skirt if the first thing I'm grabbing.  It doesn't look too offensive to the opposite sex.
