Tulip Time

One of the most exciting moments of Spring in New York is when the Park Avenue tulips begin to bloom. More than 60,000 bulbs are planted each November and Upper East Siders anxiously await to see what color will pop up each April.  This year they are yellow and seem to match the taxi cabs that zoom up and down the street.  The unseasonably warm temperatures had them in full peak last week just in time for Easter and Passover.  The tulips also have some colorful company in the form of ten sculptures by Venezuelan artist Rafael Barrios that have been installed on the Park Avenue mall between 51st and 68th Streets. Enjoy!

April

The sun was warm but the wind was chill.
You know how it is with an April day.

My Spring Finds at Refinery29

Big thanks to Kristian Laliberte and the folks at Refinery29 for asking me to pick my favorite pieces to Prep Your Pad for Spring.  I love them so much I may have to buy a few of them for myself.  Hope you like them too!

Cheers!

Spring in New York

I went out for a walk last week when it was 75 degrees so I could photograph spring in New York.  The trees on every street are in bloom and Central Park was bursting with color.  I thought these would make a perfect post to cheer everyone up on this grey and much chillier morning.  Happy Spring!
